The final registration deadline for the Symposium is April 18th.

New This Year: Grassroots Symposium attendees are encouraged to stay the weekend and attend River Network's River Rally, which will take place at the Resort May 2nd - 5th. Please see http://www.rivernetwork.org/rally/ for more information about River Rally. Freshwater Future will be providing a few scholarships to attend the Rally; please contact us for more information about these scholarship opportunities.

Travel Notes:

The Sawmill Creek Resort is located on the Lake Erie coast, about 50 miles west of Cleveland, Ohio.

Please note that all participants flying in from Canada MUST have a passport to enter the United States. Those driving in from Canada must present either 1) a passport or 2) a government issued photo ID and a birth or naturalization certificate at the US/Canada border.

If you plan to fly: The nearest airport to the Resort is Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE). Carpools and/or shuttles will be available from the airport to the Sawmill Creek Resort.


Symposium 2007


Freshwater Future builds effective community-based citizen action to protect and restore the water quality of the Great Lakes basin. We work toward this goal by providing financial assistance, communications and networking assistance and technical assistance to citizens and grassroots watershed groups throughout the Great Lakes basin. Through these efforts we work with over 1,800 grassroots watershed groups and citizens to protect and restore the rivers, lakes and wetlands in their communities. Freshwater Future, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
